She's terminally ill with two types of cancer and several other medical conditions such as kidney, heart and lung problems also she has to have regular operations to ensure that the bladder/ bowel continues to work. She has just been in his for 23 days and has another operation booked for the 28th of October.
Wow! I don't know what to say. I am sorry? I will be certain to mention her in my prayers. May God bless her.
Thanks Wintrman , it's just going from one problem to another and trying to sort it out as we go.

And as such, the need for a prayer or two coming to you and your daughter. I sat by my first wife as she battled her way through her terminal cancer. I received prayers during that rough time. It was a comfort to me then. It's the least I can do for you and yours too.

Sad day today. Scale told me what I expected. A slight gain even though I restricted my calorie intake during the Thanksgiving feast. I even ate something called Chocolate Lasagna with no impact to my blood sugars as I measured only a 6.2 that night. Well, I am back in the saddle again. Back to my regular diet and awaiting what the future holds in terms of my weight.

Second sad note is that the Enstilar is increasingly losing it's efficacy. Wondering if it is even worth it to continue the enstilar. I know it helps, but not like it used to. The itching is returning. Thank goodness for coconut oil. It is helping. Bathing in Aveeno 1 to 2 times a day is helping out too. Of course, the arms are the worst part of it all. At least my face is relatively clear at the moment. That derm appointment can't come quite fast enough.

That's it for today, kids.

Yes, Caroline. Layer after layer of chocolate and whipped cream. Very decadent. And it didn't even spike my sugars that night!

Oh… how terrible….. I love chocolate and whipped cream… so I fear I would gain some weight on that.

The weight loss journey will have ups and down which is normal due to periods in the year like Thanksgiving where food intake usually increases and also treating yourself once in a while.

You've lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time!    Positive thoughts!  You can and will get back on the wagon  Wink

Did you also exercise or was it just with diet?

I find also that as the temperature gets colder, I move less!  I don't feel like going for walks, etc.  That could also be a factor.....especially where you are!   Brrrrrrrrrr!

I had Enstilar prescribed but am reluctant to use it too much.  Do you use it on a daily basis?

About two months for your appointment!  It's coming!

I have lost weight and will lose again. I am re focusing and planning options for meals that are tasty and low in calories. Last night I had sweet and sour meatballs. Using Swerve brown sugar as the sweet part, it went over big time! My wife and kid loved it! I had 6 turkey meatballs and 1/2 cup of rice and 1/2 cup of peas mixed in. I coulda had more, but I was full after that, luckily.

I exercise using a very low impact exercise plan. I am good for 20 mins to work out and then I am no good: too much pain. As far as the colder gets, I am okay with it. I have all the right outdoor gear and I love and embrace the cold, as most Canadians would.

As far as the Enstilar goes, I have been using it non-stop since I starting using it about 3 months ago or so. There was no thinning of the skin, so I was excited, but now maybe because of the use beyond what the manufacturer recommended, I am perhaps not responding as well to the Enstilar foam. Can't wait until the doctors appointment. It can't come soon enough.

Anyways, that's it for the moment. Hope your day is going well.
