I know what you are going through, it's very hard to stay positive but you just have to do. I wish your brother all the best and hope that the outcome will be far better than you anticipate.
Take care and look after yourself.

Good luck for your brother on Monday and let's hope that the tumor hasn't spread and your brother will only lose a little of his brain and can still have many good years ahead of him. It's an awful time for you all not knowing so I hope you can stay strong for your brother and the family ...you know you can always let your emotions out here  Bigarm we will be here for you whatever the outcome

Well, things are a bit tense. First, I have hit a plateau on the weight loss front. I knew it was coming, just didn't know when. So I will have to buckle down and be patient. Hopefully this will be the week that I stop hovering around the 45 lb. weight loss area and get a bit thinner! I am not worried though. I know it's coming. I am confident about that.

Psoriasis is becoming more invasive, in spite of the use of Enstilar. Sadly, the worst part is the return of the intense itch "down below". I didn't miss that in the least!  Angry *sigh* December 15th can't come fast enough!!!!

And my brother goes in for surgery at 0730 hrs. this morning. It's probably the biggest one, even though it's just exploratory. But this one will tell us what exactly the tumor is made from and perhaps the causation. Subsequent surgeries, will treat the issue. Scary part, is if it's cancerous. Opening of the skull, like they are doing this morning, may cause an increase of the spread, if it is indeed carcinogenic. If it is carcinogenic, his odds of beating it is on the lower end of the scale. Not impossible, but difficult to win. So we are all waiting with baited breath. Yesterday, during my visit with my brother, we both had a weaker moment as we said goodbye and we almost broke down. We both held it together, but I could tell, for the first time just how scared he truly is. I told him quietly, that if there was ANYTHING we could do for him or his family, that we would be there for them and him.

So we sit and wait....

I wish you and your brother all the best and just hope that it turns out much better than you anticipate.
It's a very difficult time waiting for the results but I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Take care and look after yourself.

Thank you both for the kind words. He is doing as well as can be expected. Sadly, he is in a step down ICU unit for the short term. He would be in the ICU temporarily, but unvaccinated Covid patients are occupying those beds!  I would swear extensively here, but we do have to be respectful.

We just have to see how the pain meds are doing for him. By morning we should know more.

Cheers

Of course I hope the news will be good and that it is treatable.
