I think your doctor is going to be pleased that Ilumetri is working.  Is there a topical pain reliever that helps the ankle pain?

Thank you FW, no there is nothing that helps the ankle apart from plenty of Merlot or paracetamol (which I only take if it's very bad)

The problem is fluid on the ankle and rheumatology don't seem interested, probably because I've always said they are useless.  Big Grin

Fluid on the ankle? I would guess fluid in the ankle…. Or is that a way of saying?

Yes it's just the way I said it, a bit like I would say "water on the knee" which I have also had. But yes technically it's inside. Tongue

It's not a swelling from the Achilles tendon and not the ankle as such.

No they done scans, x-rays and echograph and three different doctors confirmed it was fluid.

yes, it should be a fluid.
According to my doc, it is so that if they take a bit of that fluid out, and put it under the microscope, then they will see pyrovate Crystals, who are a sure proof that you have Psoriatic Arthritis.

Why then the scans, x-rays and echograph?

For the people who are not so knowledged, even for a lot of doctors, it might be a very good procedure to have proof of Psoriatic Arthritis and to be sure it is not Rheumatic Arthritis, as otherwise the treatment might be wrong.

I don't think so Caroline as it's been a nice warm sunny day today, as for your other question the scans, x-rays and echograph were done for the problem with my ankle as it was and still is different to psoriatic arthritis.
