I will link my first thread here (or ask Fred to) once it's determined how he wants to handle it.  However, I wanted a bit more uncluttered thread that deals with my experience of actually using Skyrizi.

Today I received my Skyrizi:

It was nicely packaged and as you can see the card has the white dot meaning that the temperature wasn't compromised (it would be red otherwise)

Two pens, Week 0 and week 4 (the next one will be week 16, I'll call for a refill at about 4 weeks before it's due)

Not much paperwork, one page describing how the temperature card works which a simple sentence of white is good and red is bad would have sufficed, but it was an in depth explanation which is expected when it comes to medical stuff.

4 pages of information.  Describing what Skyrizi is, side effects, etc.  Things you'd find on the webpage.

It came in an insulated box with two ice packs,

So, I'm not really ready for some reason but I will inject later today or tomorrow.  Big Grin

Good luck Kat I have locked your other thread Kat's Skyrizi journey but let me know if you prefer a different approach.

We do have a post about Skyrizi giving the basics here Skyrizi (risankizumab) for our guests and don't forget as a member you are also welcome to have a locked thread if you wish [Group Specific]

I hope it gives you relief I'm following you thread with interest.   Thumb

Thanks Forest Smile

First injection done. In comparison to other injections I liked that I felt absolutely nothing as far as the injection itself. The instructions recommended taking out of fridge 30 minutes to 1 hour before injecting so I went 45 minutes. You do have to hold it down against the skin with some light pressure due to how the pen operates so that was a bit different. I have some minor issues with one hand so it worried me a bit that I might not be able to hold it for the 15 seconds it said it would take but that wasn't an issue.

I'm actually in a decent place with my skin, mostly due to the topical I can't stay on. Tongue I still have plaques and itching but it's not bad right now. I still have enough to have constant shedding though. I'm hoping this helps and I can wear dark colors again. Also hoping it helps with arthritis and inflammation. Never hurts to be optimistic! Big Grin

So we'll see. Next injection in 4 weeks.

That's good that it doesn't sting and that you did okay holding the pen for 15 seconds.  2024 is going to be a really good year.   Heart
