I'm Barbi C, I found out I have Pustular Psoriasis on my foot in the spring, when I went to the doctor, its been appearing for the past 5 years+.... & I thought it was veruca's or athletes foot.... ok should have gone earlier

dr asked me what had I got to be stressed about??? I could start a book!! mainly building a house with no budget, but don;t get me started. its seriously flared up at present, as we have my husbands ex staying with us.... and I am letting her get to me!

Today it has been so bad it woke me up, and by the end of today I need to have delivered around a 1000 poll cards for this police commisionar election Scare which is what I was doing yesterday, walking on flaring psoriasis is a total pain.... sure I don;t need to say that here however!! So how did I get here?? I decided to google psoriasis to see what I could do to ease it, as I'm hobling big time. & I found you - what a wonderful find!!Clap I don;t feel so alone, and I realise that some of my other complaints are either linked or are a likely stimuli. Mind if my foot is giving me a lot of grief at least it takes my mind off my digestion.....Rolaf

right back to bed! I have an hour before I need to be up & at it, and to prove J (the ex) that I can get up & out before 9am.....

ps I'm really a happy person, just lately let things get on top, that makes my psoriasis flare that me me miserable.... and round we go! etc etc

Big hugs to everyone Bigarm and thanks for being there, I've already found stuff that is useful & gives me hope that I will not end up cutting my foot off.....

Nice to meet you Barbi!
Easy to say but try not to let the current circumstances get you down - there is a link between flare ups and stress (well for me anyway). You do sound like a cheerful person though which is positive and will help you get through this current flare up.
I hope the feet weren't too sore after todays deliveries, get your slippers on and put your feet up for an hour. Perhaps your house guest could bring you a nice cup of tea!!!
Take care
Lady B

P.S. that would be messy

Reminds me that after seeing Oscar Pistorious in the Paralympics primary school kids, when asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, replied "Paralympian". Mmmm be careful what you wish for kids!

Hello Barbi Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Your glad you found us and we are glad you found us, we need more people like you to give us a smile now and a again. Lady B is right, get your house guest to help out. Maybe start with the cleaning, cooking, and washing as these things are very difficult for people with Pustular Psoriasis Wink

I'm interested in your house building with no budget, I keep saying we will build our own house one day. maybe you could start a thread in [Group Specific] and tell us more.

Oh and tell J getting out of bed before 10am is not good for the circulation in people with psoriasis, so if she could get the breakfast ready for 10 it would be a great help.

Regards.

Fred.

Thank you Fred, Lady B & Troll, nice to meet youWave

Well I got all the poll cards delivered, not sure who was more surprised me or melly my husband!! very relieved & a bit foot sore..... I've been using Aloe vera on my foot with another barrier cream & it seems to help stop the worst, anyone else tried aloe?

My main problem is at night, I find myself scratching in my sleep with my other foot....

Anyway, a bit more about me, I'm 49, married mel in July 2005 & started our house build in August 2005 - its our 'Grand Design' its been quite an adventure, at times a little to much, I have to admit I'd do it again! but with the finance to not have to constantly worry about how we pay for the materials!!Clap I am now an experienced Roof Tiler, wall tiler, plasterer, parquet layer, painter, etc etc I gave up my full time job to work on the house in 2008 2 days later my husband partially lost his sight and couldn't work for 3 months - that's when my Psoriasis started, although I thought I'd got athletes foot with a verrucae, to make ends meet I worked in a local social club and used to hobble around at times, now can;t understand why I didnt do something about it earlier!! until I got a temp job as a cashier at the local council, which I did for 18 months until I lost my job (short story I am not that great at maths!!) since then I worked at a local florist for a year & now I do all sorts of bits & bobs, the local council Election's section has be as an adhoc worker (I worked at council for 28 years previously - so they know me!!)Smile, including keeping an eye on my elderly parents - always doing something constructive Wall - todays job is to sort out the loft, as its been a bit of a dumping ground of late!!

Had a chat with Husband about J & that I felt she was getting at me, not sure if he said something but having seen the state of my foot over the weekend he has been abit more sympathetic & that makes me feel better, not that I need sympathy, but at times I just want to sit down with my feet up! still considering cutting off foot.... he did offer sandpaper at the weekend..... any success with that one anyone...Tongue. Right off to check on parents & then off to the loft.....

Hidden in the middle of the countryside Wink

You need 5+ post before you can post an image. this thread explains how to do it [Group Specific] and you can play in the [Group Specific] area to get the hang of it. We also have a [Group Specific] if you want.

If you do get stuck give me a shout. Smile

Hello Barbi,
Nice to meet you.
Have a good time over here.
You seem to be a real "poster", seen from your first couple of posts.

I am finished with my house yet...
