Hello, I'm 55 yrs old and have had p for about 5-6 yrs. I just started my treatment on Taltz 2 days ago. My dr had put me on Humira, and after 4 months i was much worse so he gave me an rx for Taltz. I have p everywhere, arms, legs, chest, back, buttocks, under arms, and toes. I took my first dose of Taltz on Friday morning. Let me tell you, the shots sting like crazy as it is going in. (Cought me by surprise) eek  it's now been 48 hours and I can already see a marked change. The redness of some of my patches have started to fade. Some  are already about 50% closer to my natural skin color. If it continues to work this good, I'll put up with the sting and smile. I'll keep you posted.

Taltz is getting good reviews. Thank you for starting this thread I'm sure it will help others, and I wish you well with it.

Re the stinging: I've not used Taltz but with the other Bio's I found taking it out of the fridge 20 minutes before using helps with the stinging sensation. Also I don't know if you are using the "Pen" type injections or the prefilled syringe but I found the prefilled syringe to be better as you can regulate the flow and push it in slowly. But the stinging doesn't last long and it's worth it for clear skin.

Good luck, I look forward to your updates.

Hi Fred. It's an auto-injector. I had to take 2 for my first dose. I left it out over night so it would be at room temp when I injected.

Maybe worth trying the prefilled shots. Also overnight is not a good thing it shouldn't be out of the fridge longer than around 30 minutes.

Day 3. I continue to see improvement. Thumb The rate of scale growth has diminished drastically. I will say, my patches got very itchy last night. A small trade off for the level of improvement. I have had no side effects. No injection site redness or bruising. Keep you up to date on my progress.

Brilliant news ( apart from the itching) but as you say a small price to pay for such a drastic change

I'll ask my Dr about how much time it can be out of the fridge. I have my first appointment after starting Taltz on the 7th.

Funny thing these insurance companies. after my inicial PA for Humira expired, they denied a new PA. my Dr appealed the decision. while waiting, he gave me the Rx for Taltz. After going through a lengthy proccess, they approved it and 5 days after starting on Taltz, I get a letter saying that they are approving the Humira. Go figure!!!!!! Needless tyo say, I'm staying on Taltz.
