I will keep my fingers crossed for the Cosentyx Fred , my dermatologist  has just started using it a few months ago and he said that he was very impressed with it..
By the way Fred I was on the drugs dot com site the other day and there are section for patients to ask and answer questions and two people mentioned that Stelara had made them short tempered and changed their personality , this is the first time I have heard of this.

It's good to hear. Just remember the initial dosing is wierd - if I remember correctly, it's 300 every week for a month or something similar.

Yes it's two shots of 150 = 300. It's a bit confusing because they say you start at week 0! to most that is week 1, but it goes like this

Loading dose:
#1 2x150
#2 1 week later 2x150
#3 1 week later 2x150
#4 1 week later 2x150
#5 1 week later 2x150

Maintenance dose:
The maintenance dose is taken one month after #5 and every 4 weeks after that. The maintenance dose is either 150 or 300 depending on what you dermatologist thinks is best, I shall be trying the 300 and a review three months later.

The 0 standard math terminology for initial starting dose. Maybe they should have just called it a initial dose and not be so confusing...

I never was good at maths. It was funny talking with my dermatologist as she said it was 4 weeks of two shots of 150 and then start two shots of 150 per month. But I said it was 5 weeks of two shots of 150, and it was then that the trainee doctor who was in the room went off to check. It ended up he couldn't decide who was right, so my dermatologist went off to check and she came back and said "Your are right, but so am I".  Big Grin

It's a little better but not much. The weather has helped, but I'm out of treatment at the moment.

Going to pharmacie later to see if Cosentyx has got funding yet.
