Excuses excuses  they always have excuses ...Mataribot .... Why are they so reluctant to dispense it .... Myself I would use the language and apologise to Fred later  Confused

The CSR acted like the pharmacy was a flee market. He offered to fill Humira, then the Stelara. I haven't had an active prescription for Humira in over two years.

CSR = Customer Service Representative. I called CVS pharmacy today. After a small argument, the CSR admitted they had the prescription. I tried to fill it, but without success. The CSR said the drug requires approval. He stated it required the approval from the pharmacy and if it's covered by my plan. I asked him why I received a letter stating that I have been approved if my plan doesn't cover it? The CSR didn't answer that question he moved on to say that the dosing had to be validated. The prescription is for a starting kit for PsA. There is no verification needed. He went on to say there are millions of prescriptions in the Queue for biologics and it would be processed in the order received. He said he call me back when it's ready. So said, just like you called me back for Humira. I wonder what kind of herbals he is smoking. CVS doesn't have millions sitting in Queue for biologics. I will call back every other day until the fill it.

Aha thank you Matari, I love "Customer Service" they never fail to make me laugh, it's like they are little robots reading from a cue card all the time instead of being real people, it doesn't matter where they work they all say the same thing.

I still can't get my head around the way you have to get your prescriptions filled over there, it all sounds very hit and miss to me.  Confused

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Fred, getting your prescription here is no different than buying groceries. Only difference is with expensive medication they want you to buy it from them because it's cheaper. However, CVS only wants to sell what they make the maximum profit from.

They have got to be the most evil company that ever lived.

Do you have to go through CVS? Can you try Walgreens or another pharmacy? I've heard that COSTCO is very easy to deal with and has the best pricing if that's an option.

I know this is different than just filling a regular prescription so I'm a bit clueless as to why you are getting the run around.

It's a specialty drug - it costs a lot of money. That's what specialty means, expensive, not that the drug is special. I have no choice but to go through them.
