not really to be honest .  More of an annoyance because the skin used to split really easily especially in cold weather so I could find myself smearing blood everywhere lol

Did the methotrexate get you clear and was it all over or only the hands and feet?

Was he in Breaking Bad!

If I could make my own drugs I would definitely be somewhere a lot sunnier than the UK.  Smile

Bill's story is an interesting one.
I can be prescribed also in the UK, jiml is on it.
Only Bill's approach is there because this treatment is not delivered in Australia ánd because it is a lot cheaper.
He is not the only one though, in Germany is a guy who treats himself also for his MS.

Well I had my consultant appointment today.

She said I was 13% covered, didn't think it was that much and she sees a 50% reduction in scaling and is happy with the progress.

I have an increased dosage of 20mg now for the next 8 weeks after which she hopes I can come off MTX and see how I do.

Apparently about 20% of patients are on MTX permanently while the rest are only using it periodically throughout the yera.

I have to rearrange my NHS appointment as I am off travelling again and when I get home having a much needed week in Rhodes.

Generally she is happy I am happy, not experiencing any side effects.

I found that when I had no side effects and it was working quite well for a very long time so all the best.

Tonight is MTX night on my new 20mg dose. Unfortunately I am away so I do not have my customary Greek yogurt to take it with. Sadly it is a double edged blow in that one I feel I am not helping support the Greek economy Smile  by not having Greek yogurt and two I have to choose something from room service which will no doubt be fattening (not that that usually bothers me but I go on holibobs in two weeks and just restarted my couch to 5k for about the sixth time.

I was actually thinking yesterday (I know pretty radical ha, might have heard the cogs grinding), why not stay at the 15mg dose as it really is starting to get a lot better and run with that for a few more weeks rather than increasing my dosage. That being said I am not a highly skilled dermatologist.

Its also really crap being in a hotel and not having a beer.

Shame on you not supporting the greek economy Big Grin  now what will they do Doh it was part of the bail out that you would keep supporting them..
Im sure 20mg will be ok and I doubt if the nasty side effects will start now, you are probably one of the lucky ones who can tolerate it well
I agree being in a hotel and not having a beer is terrible ... I will have one for you  Big Grin
Good luck and thanks for updating

Best to keep to the dose, as you build up then come back down to a maintenance dose.

Would Milk help ? Not sure if it will be in the Mini Bar though. Big Grin
