Hey Jim.......

Not going great i have to say, I guess i have to give it time though...... Its my third treatment tomorrow and absolutely no change as yet....... If anything my hands are worse but I do think my PPP flares up with stress and i am very stressed  Sad

That's a bugger I was hoping it might be starting to work for you, although after only 2 treatments it is a bit early .... hopefully it will start to clear after tomorrow's treatment ...
shame you can't de-stress a bit as that will help if you could .... but I guess modern living is full of pressure and is stressful ..... have a hug to help relax you Bigarm

Yes and psoriasis gives you more stress which makes it worse again and it can keep spiralling .... that's what I like about this club .... we can always come here and there is someone not far away to share frustrations with.... hopefully you will get clear and that will be one less stress to deal with which should help ...but I think you will need a systemic drug to give you lasting clearance Thumb

So you tell me your white blood count is high and they want to get you into medication in the form of tablets I would think
Have a good look at this thread Oral Treatments For Psoriasis look through the available ones and learn a bit about each of them so you can better discuss the options with the dermatologist when you see them next ...

If you have any questions ask away there are plenty here that will answer your questions...

I know we have given some advice about acetretin as you think that's what they want to put you on .....I would say give it a go, if it's awful you can ask to change ....but it might do wonders for your ppp on your feet and make you more comfortable.....you might not get any side effects

Anyway take what is offered as once you are on the systemic drugs then you are on the way to biological drugs if you fail on a couple .....but hopefully you won't fail till several years down the road

Thanks Jim I will have a good look later...... Yes last blood count was high, nurse said indicative of an infection of some kind but I didn't have one to my knowledge........so she sent me for another blood test yesterday to see if the white blood count is back to normal, this is in advance of prescribing acetretin......

We did talk about biological drugs too (which I figure is a longish way off anyway), but I have a history of cancer so she said they wouldn't be prescribed (not sure that this is the case though). All these conversations are with the nurse, who can prescribe acetretin, so I am not sure if I would be able to have biological drugs anyway.......however a question for the dermatologist I guess who I am seeing on 11th September.....

I am getting ready for work now but will have a good look later at the options and also any puva experiences, I know you had it Jim but I am thinking that by now my feet should be improving (my hands are fine) but the burning sensation is unbearable at the moment so a little puzzled as to why this is, given I have had the same amount of treatments (but for longer) as my hands.....

Anyway have a great day and catch you soon.... Wave
