So my 2 day cleanse is over, and today I start stage 1 of my diet.  With further research I have changed my original list and have also changed my supplements.  Please note the changes below and my comments as to the reason why.  Vitamins/supplements crossed off, I will begin in 1 week.  I am also holding off on the pau d'arco tea as that is an antifungal, and I will begin those in 2 weeks.  In 3 weeks, I will add probiotics.

Here is my food list (I will try to do organic when possible):

vegetables: artichokes, zucchini, asparagus, avocado, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, onions, garlic, cauliflower, celery, collard greens, kale, romaine lettuce, olives (no white vinegar)

meat: grass fed beef (I will wait to add beef as it can sit in the gut for a few days to digest), chicken, turkey, eggs, sockeye salmon, lamb

nuts/seeds: almonds, flax seeds, hazelnuts, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds  (i will wait to add nuts/seeds as they may contain mold)

grains: quinoa, millet, buckwheat, almond flour, coconut flour  (I will wait to add these)

herbs/spices: basil, black pepper, cilantro, cinnamon, cloves, cumin, dill, ginger, nutmeg, oregano, rosemary, thyme, turmeric, sea salt, herbs de provance

oils: extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, virgin coconut oil, grass fed butter

seasonings: lemon juice, lime juice, raw organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos, organic chicken bone broth

beverages: filtered water, unsweetened almond/coconut milk, peppermint tea, ginger tea, pau d'arco tea (waiting to add anitfungals), licorice tea, cinnamon tea

sweeteners: stevia that does not have maltodexterin, dextrose or sugar alcohols.  Whole leaf stevia.

dairy: unsweetened grass fed yogurt, unsweetened grass fed kefir. ( I will wait to add these as they are probiotics)

I also plan on taking daily:

Supplements:  fish oil, collagen, ashwagandha, probiotics  (I will add these later)
Milk Thistle (adding as it supports the liver during detox)
Pantethine (adding as it breaks down the candida die off toxin, acetaldehyde, during detox)

Vitamins: C, D, E, folic acid, biotin (I will add these later)

Minerals: Zinc

Crumbs you’ve got a lot worked out there - hope it works for you. Do you make your own bone broth by boiling up the chicken bones after a roast dinner?

No, for now I buy pre-made bone broth.  But as I have bought organic chicken wings and drumsticks, I will have to throw the bones in the freezer and make some home made broth when I have enough bones.   Smile

Good luck

I am really craving something sweet (I love chocolate), but fortunately cinnamon tea with a little stevia is filling that need. Thumb

Mon-09-04-2018, 14:55 PM (This post was last modified: Mon-09-04-2018, 14:57 PM by schnauzerlover. Edited 1 time in total.)
(Hello Alan and thanks for your support!)

This morning I woke up and found the most stubborn patch of psoriasis that I have, a triangular patch next to my eye/in the crows feet area, has shed most of its scaly texture.  The inflammation has reduced also, just a little redness is left.  My eyelids redness is faint with minimal scales and the same for the areas near my chin and temples, in my hairline.

It sure has been hard not having my favorite crackers (with my salads), rye bread toast, rice, potatoes, and my beloved dark !chocolate!, but these results have given me the boost of encouragement to keep going.

I am a bit concerned about the weight loss though.  I have lost 4 pounds in one week, and am now down to 109 lbs.  Yikes!  I never though I would be concerned about that.  Two years ago I lost 55 pounds and pretty much got to my ideal weight.  Little did I know that I would have to deal with psoriasis.  Those missing grainy carbs really drop the calorie count.

Right now I am having organic scrambled eggs (with grass fed butter) and sipping bone broth for breakfast.  Yum.

I recently had ground lamb patties seasoned with marjoram, rosemary, oregano, green onion and garlic on a chard leaf, and it tasted pretty much like gyros, which I love.  I can't wait to add the tzatziki sauce, which will make it taste even better.  However I will miss the feta cheese.  :(

Also loving the sauteed asparagus or zucchini with butter and dill, salt and pepper for sides to my meat!

I have also added to my current daily supplements/vitamins, slippery elm.  This is supposed to coat your gut and help it to heal.  However I need to take it 2 hours before/after taking my other vitamins/supplements and food as slippery elm's coating of the gut can interfere with the absorption of those vitamins, minerals and food.  People wit IBS, and other gut issues give great reviews for this supplement in helping them with their symptoms.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

(Caroline and Jiml - Yes I can't wait to start adding yogurt and kefir.  That should help with the calorie count.  My arms are hollow now.  :(  They were slim and muscular.  They look a little scary.  Yikes.  Come on yogurt and kefir!)

Today is one week after the diet start.  This morning I weighed 110 pounds.  So I have stabilized my weight loss, hopefully.  I have been using olive oil and grass fed butter to help add good healhty fat calories to my daily intake.

As it is one week in, I am now adding supplements and vitamins daily.

Vitamins, minerals and supplements:  Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Biotin, Pantethine, Zn, Folic Acid, Fish oil, Milk Thistle, Collagen, Ashwaganddha.  I take these with meals and 2 hours before/after meals I am taking sllippery elm.

I am still waiting to add the probiotics and antifungals.

As for my psoriasis, it has stayed the same as my last comment.  It seems the area that is still inflamed is in my hair line by my temples.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.   Smile
