Thu-18-04-2019, 03:27 AM (This post was last modified: Thu-18-04-2019, 03:33 AM by Kat. Edited 2 times in total. Edit Reason: spelling )
So today is week 2, shot 3 (yeah I know a bit confusing but the doctor insists that it starts at week 0 and not week 1)

I almost forgot as things were very busy today, but thankfully I remembered.  So I took a picture but found out my email service is changing things up a bit and well... not sure what's going on but wouldn't let me log in so I will have to add the picture later.  I take it on my phone but then email it to the computer.  I do not always do things the easy way.  Wink

So.. I think perhaps a little improvement with plaques but nothing significant.  Just about the time I think well I'm at least less itchy, I start itching because I'm thinking about it!  This has been my 'can't get past it point' for the past year so I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

However, ankles continue to be less stiff and a noticeable improvement there!  Thumb   One ankle in particular is barely stiff at all in the mornings!  The other ankle is improved from when I started, but I haven't noticed much change in it this past week.

I won't mention other joints unless I notice an improvement as I don't know if they would be affected, for instance Knees are osteo, nothing is going to repair them other than a replacement.  Hands... not sure what the aches are from, could be arthritis or just old age.  But if I notice any areas of improvement I will mention it here.  So far just the ankles and they are really the only ones the rheumatologist suspects were showing signs of psoriatic arthritis so makes sense I might see improvement there.

Oh, just to mention.. I had daughter do the injections in my arms this week.  Since I'm injecting weekly I figured less chance of repeating an area if I keep the shots varied.  A very little bit of sting in the arms, less than the one in the leg the first time (but shot was a bit cold for that one) but the ones I did in the stomach the first and second times have ALL been TOTALLY pain free.  No sting at all.  I agree with Fred that I think it's the best area to use.

Yes it confused Me, my dermatologist and the pharmacie starting at week 0.

I just used my belly for the loading dose with no problems.

Will be interesting to see if it does help any other of your joint problems.

First, image from last week that I didn't post:

Now, image from this week:

As you can see, about the same.

This is week 3, shot 4

Not much really changed this week. Ankles are still better but still giving me issues (which I should point out that I don't know if it's psoriatic arthritis or not, only that the rheumatologist thinks it might me but did NOT diagnose me with it)  But I do think they have improved quite a bit these past weeks so we shall see.

I was off to the doctor today for dizziness. Did some tests but don't know what is causing it. He said go ahead with my Cosentyx injection today.

hi Kat,

Probably too early to tell, as everybody reacts differently. Hope you won't feel dizzy anymore soon!

The dizziness could be crystals in your ear moving. My doctor taught me how to get them back where they belong.

Have a search for Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
