Last Wednesday was week 6 for me on Taltz. I forgot to inject that day however but I did inject on Thursday (yesterday).

I took a picture but honestly I've decided not to post pictures unless there is any significant changes, as I feel I'm pretty much posting the same thing over and over again. Not a lot of change, perhaps a bit less red but still just as itchy. No significant change in joints, although I do think maybe a bit better there.

Giving the injection is same as before. I'll post should I have a bad reaction or if there is any change to speak of. I will update as injections are due even with no change just to let you know there's been nothing significant happening. Next injection is week 8 in two weeks.

Just to add, nurse called about a week back, said they would evaluate at next appointment but would keep me on Taltz until all loading doses were done (ends at week 12 then goes to maintenance dose, once every 4 weeks) and I'm only half way through the loading doses. So I have about 6 weeks to go and we'll see where things are then and go from there.

I hope it does kick in and work for you. I tried it recently and it didn’t work for me at all. But if you are getting reduced redness then maybe it’s starting.

Yes they usually wait till week 12, but if there is some improvement they may go longer.

Good luck. Thumb

Good luck Kat I hope it works and you I guess there is a reason to have loading doses, probably the experiences in trials said some need the 12 weeks to get improvement and hopefully its the case with you and you will be significantly clearer by 12 weeks

Time will tell. Smile

Not a huge fan of the injections, I had zero problem with Stelara and Cosentyx. But if it works then I won't complain about the injection. Well okay I probably still will complain Tongue even more so if I have another reaction like that one time. But last two injections have only been a bit of redness at the injection site and a small swelling "bump" that goes away in a couple of days so that isn't too bad.

Just did my injection, week 8.

I left out 40 minutes and iced the area for 5 minutes. Not as much sting but bled more this time, not sure why.

I iced again for a few minutes after the injection and took an antihistamine to help with the reaction. Those were recommended by the nurse last time I talked with her.

Still no improvement, but I have a dermatologist appt the first week or so in Sept and will see what they say then.

And yes, injection was due yesterday... I forgot and so just finished it. I'll let you know if I have a reaction this time or not.

Well Kat, if it doesn't work well enough then at least it is only a bit over four weeks before your dermatologist calls it quits and moves you on to the next treatment.

Cheers
