Sorry but how do I apply the oil? Do I heat it up first?

Scratch some oil on your finger e.g. and apply, it will melt on your skin.

I agree on the coconut oil and I've personally found that Sorion creme is very helpful. It's a natural cream with Neem.

Yes like Caroline said it will melt at body temperature. Some prefer to warm it first and use as a liquid, but I find it easier to keep it cool and scoop out a chunk with a spoon and rub it into the skin.

I learned here to put the virgin coconut oil into a small glass and set that glass in a bowl of hot water to melt it.  Not to use the microwave.  But having the amount you need melt with your body heat on your skin is probably less messy than sloshing it on as a liquid.

I'm using over the counter, hydrocortisone 1% on genital psoriasis, even though my dermatologist recommended a stronger steroid.  I don't use it daily because I'm worried about thinning skin there, too.  There is a lot of info on overusing topical steriods here in the club.

Psoriasis seems to be worsened by sweat.  Cleaning with a damp washcloth after exercising (when I can't get to a shower right after) seems to help me.

It's not fair to have hidradenitis and psoriasis.  Glad you found the club.  Welcome!   Welcome

Thank you all for your help, i started using coconut oil and its been fantastic, itch disappeared in the groin area. Haven't really used the enstilar at all, wondering if coconut oil is good for the scalp, thats probably my worst area, dry like scabs, getting pro-topic ointment shortly, can that be used on the head or should i go with enstilar?
