Hi guys

Sorry I wasn't very clear she suffers with psoriatic arthritis. She also has plantar fasciitis which they're putting down to psoriasis also.

We used to love going for walks etc but now we can't do it as much or as far as my wife is suffering and  hate seeing her that way.

I did discuss with her Humira again this morning before work but she's dead against it, she wants to go down the natural route at the moment.  Either way I'll support her.

I've joined many forums in the past (motoring forums) as my hobby is tinkering with cars, and I must say from what I've seen and read this is the most informative forum I've ever joined. If you could have a motoring section that would be the cherry on the icing of the cake lol.

Thank you again for the warm welcome

Hi nice to meet you! I just wanted to put in, I had plantar fasciitis and I could hardly walk for a while. I managed to get treatment on the nhs about five years ago, involving a sort of heat lamp on my foot for a few sessions and it went away shortly after that, I haven't yet had a recurrence since.

Good luck going down the natural route, I hope you have success with it,

There is no reason you can't start a motoring thread in the off topic section.......just about every other topic is covered there and I'm sure a motoring thread would be popular

I understand that she wants to try the natural route. Warning, it is a difficult one. alan540 seems to be quite far, but it will need a total change in your eating habits and no derivation from that. From more people (also outside of this forum, but how reliable is that?) I have read that it works, however most of us do not have the courage or will power to be able to keep on to such a diet.
Still I think it is worth a try. chrisp is also very interested in alan540's diet, so who nows more are starting it.
Banning the sugars must be not too difficult, banning the gluten much more. Luckily more gluten free food is coming to the market.

Thank you for the kind words about Psoriasis Club.  Smile

Like Jim said you are more than welcome to start a thread about motoring in [Group Specific] we have threads on Trains, Planes, Motorcycles, and if you look carefully you will even find a mention of Jim and his three wheeled bike.

I hope your wife gets some relief going the natural route. I will just say though, be very careful about what you find on the internet. I'm not saying we have all the answers, but you will get an honest opinion here so just ask before diving in.

Welcome to the forum, there is nothing that I can add to what has been said, if there was a "cure" then this forum would not exist and there are a lot of people who will be only to happy to take your money give you false hope and leave you poorer but still with P.
Have a good look at the site as I do not think you will find any more information anywhere else and any questions will be answered truthfully by people who have the problem . It's a great site and the inmates are friendly but barmy so I look forward to seeing you on here , like the idea of a car spot !! Clap

Hi Abz and welcome to our group. There is little I can add as regards advice, personally I couldn't do the lifestyle thing. It does take a lot of effort. I was well miffed that I had to limit the booze when I started Acitretin, even though I didn't drink that much. I can vouch for the coconut oil though, its pretty good stuff, but get the good virgin stuff

I do like the the idea of a motoring thread I think it would be popular - go for it. I used to rally in my young and stupid era.

Hello Abz,

I think its really good that you are trying to get more info for your wife.

Like a couple of members have already stated, there is little I can add to what you have already been told except to say...John you do like a drink hun, don't deny it and just go with the flow. lol.

There is great expertise in this club.

Fifity
