TOM

Thanks Tom
If it does get too much as you are still in the UK Five there is the alternative of the drug I am on its available on the NHS.... But let's not go there yet let's give acetretin a good go.

A great idea the regular updates I look back at mine or on my journal that you should now be able to see to see how I'm doing its a good way to record your progress
Good luck

Tom don't forget you're welcome to have your own thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis if you want.

Obviously you don't have to, and you're welcome to keep posting here. But you may find it easier to keep track of your progress in your own thread, as this is the general thread about Acitretin and you may get all sorts of post.

Your choice, just thought I would mention it. Smile

Fred.

Went to the dermatologist yesterday and he's letting me try to reduce my Acetritin to 3x week. I said something along the lines of... I know Acetritin isn't as expensive as biologics but it still isn't cheap. He said the price for Soriatane (Acetritin) is going up. He did say something else as to why and I wish I had asked him to repeat it as I didn't catch what he said. Anyone heard of price increases for Acetritin?

In the US, it depends on the pharmacy and brand of generic. Call around, ask for price and generic manufacturer and the price. Then choose the cheapest if that is what you want.

Thanks Kelly!

Mataribot, I plan to do that on my next refill. I like to stay with the pharmacy I've been at for years as they have all my med information and I like having it in one place, but it only makes sense to shop around a bit.

First off Happy New Year to all.
I've been on this med since August with very good result and minimal side effects (dry lips, very slight peeling on soles of feet and change in texture of hair - has an odd curl to it now but I make it work to my advantage, lol). I'm on 20 mg daily and bottom line my skin is completly plaque free. I do have some white spots where some of the plaques were but they are slowly evening out.

Not much of an update I'm afraid. No news is good news!

You say not much of an update, but it is an update and sounds good to me.

Thank you for updating.
