On the 3rd day of 1 full strength tablet daily. Still no side effects whatsoever. Quite surprised. No change in skin yet either.

Good news there’s no side effects ... perhaps it will work and you won’t suffer any ....it’s still early to see changes in the psoriasis but be patient I have every confidence in the efficacy of Fumaderm  Thumb

I agree with Jim. It can take a long time for it to feel it working.
As long as side effects and lymphocytes are ok you can continue.

What in fact (at least I guess as it is the way it only can work) is happening is that slowly the concentration of DMF is moderating your cells and the pathways in which Psoriasis is involved. Because of the slow build up this is process that does not immediately give results. You are searching for the exact point that is the right point for your body. This is different from biologicals. Bio's just completely block pathways or cell receptors, which means they work very fast. DMF moderates, so it will not block completely, but only relative to dose of DMF.
(Am I right Bill?)

Thank you guys. I'm not worrying about the lack of results yet just noting there has been no improvement so far.

Is it possible for this medication to work without side effects though? I was under the impression not.

Yes it can work without side effects but I’m sure you will probably get some as you increase the dose Big Grin

At what dose did the side effects you did experience start, Caroline?

Right in the beginning. With the 2 x 30 mg dose I experienced the flushing. And furthermore I sometimes had a bit of mumbling intestines, there were moments that it was better to be close to the toilet as I might have some diarrhea, that happened about(average) once a week and I always felt it coming. I have never had any pain in stomach or belly as I was using the slow release version.

Glad you're not getting side effects, hopefully it will stay that way for you. Hoping for some great results soon!
